Inefficient, reckless advertising

While watching the Colbert Report, I saw a 30-second Dodge commercial.  Why would Dodge trucks try to market themselves to a younger, more liberal-leaning audience? Why not spend the ad dollars getting the attention of a group of people who are statistically far more likely to purchase trucks.

  1. Because the people who make them are the same kind of people who are going to buy them, they weren't thinking that much.
